Which makes a better pet: A dog or a cat? – Part 81

It’s always been dogs ever since I was a kid. I loved and still love caring for pet dogs like they’re my own flesh and blood children. Cats? I am sorry to say this, but I have never fancied cats of any breed or age. In fact there was even a time in my childhood when I developed something like a phobia for newly-born kittens. I could not understand it, but it’s there, the fear and the dislike. Dogs? I’d sell anything, spend my last cent to feed or buy medicine for my pet dogs. I just find them so adorable and charming.

Dogs are the sweetest thing to have in the house. They make me smile, laugh, and even do silly things with them. They love to be petted too. For me, there is no question about which makes a better pet, a cat or a dog, because it’s always been dogs for me.

I do not know why I have this special compassion for all dogs, whether they are mine or not. Whenever I see dogs wandering and looking like they’re hungry, I’d usually buy some food and give it to them.

We had neighbors when I was a kid who ate dogs. Whenever they butchered a dog for food, I’d cry in my room and cover my ears for I did not want to hear the wailing of the dog. I was still too young to do anything then.

I presently own two dogs who I feed and care for everyday. Although they have already destroyed many of my things, but still, they are lovable.
